Basketball
Tyler and Lindsay played on the same basketball team this year. Their season just ended. They learned so much. Lindsay was the only girl on the team and at the beginning of the season, Lindsay couldn't even make a basket. Now she is such a good shooter. Tyler made at least one basket in every game. He is becoming quite an aggressive defender. They are sad that the season is over, but I am glad to have one less thing to do in my busy schedule!

Now you see it, now you don't!
Well, we finally got permission from our landlords to tear it down. What a great day! So here's the results after de-wallpapering...
Now comes the fun part...picking out paint colors. Does anybody have any suggestions? Our cupboards are white and our countertops are forest green. We have white tile floors. I definitely didn't get the interior decorating gene. Maybe I should go watch some HGTV!

Joey's Blessing
We blessed baby Joey this past Sunday. We had lots of family here for it. My parents, my Uncle Gordon and Aunt Sue were here. Also, my oldest brother Eric was here. Jon was also asked to do a musical number in sacrament meeting. I think I was more nervous than he was. He played the piano and sang. He did an amazing job. We were all so impressed! It turned out to be such a special day for everyone.

25 Random Things
I did this note in Facebook and thought I'd put it on my blog. It's 25 random things about me. I think I'm supposed to tag 25 people, but I'll just tag anyone who wants to do it!
1. I love to play tennis.
2. I love to watch game shows.
3. I hate seafood. I can stomach shrimp if it's battered and fried.
4. I love buffalo wings...addicted to them.
5. I love watching sports...Especially football, basketball, and tennis. I can't wait for March Madness to start!
6. I'm not a very emotional person, except when I'm pregnant.
7. I love the smell of a new baby.
8. I am totally tone deaf, but I love to sing. When I am in the car by myself, I totally belt it out!
9. I love having a clean and organized house, but I hate to clean. That's why I love my cleaning lady!
10. I do my own taxes and I love it.
11. If I went back to school to get my masters, I would do it in accounting.
12. Music makes me want to dance.
13. When I am nervous or in an uncomfortable situation, I talk non-stop. I don't like "uncomfortable" silence.
14. I love it that my hubby is in the Air force because I like to move and start over.
15. I am pretty down-to-earth. I don't pretend that my house is always clean, my kids are always perfect, and that I'm married to the perfect man.
16. I love going to the beach without kids.
17. I'm not a very good cook, but I love to bake goodies.
18. I love to eat out.
19. I love being a stay-at-home mom.
20. I love volunteering at my kids' school.
21. My favorite color is purple.
22. I love getting pedicures.
23. My lucky number.
24. I hate public speaking.
25. My husband is my best friend.

Dance Party '09
I decided to throw myself a birthday party last weekend...no kids allowed. I was talking to some friends about the last time we had gone dancing. It seemed like it had been years for all of us and we decided that it was time to get together and just dance. I found some great tunes and we danced for about 2 hours straight. By the end of the evening, we were all soaked in sweat! The guys were pretty much wall flowers, but us ladies really got down! It brought back some good memories of stake dances, high school dances, and college parties. We all decided that this should be a once-a-month actvity!
The drinks in the pics are root beer. It's only the appearance of evil. :))

Happy Birthday to Me!
Today I turned 20...plus 9. Aaaah! It's my last year of my twenties! I had a lot of fun today. I went to lunch with my hubby and had fun with my kids. They loved wrapping presents and celebrating with me. It was a nice relaxing day. I got a new dock for my ipod, some new sunglasses, and new tennis balls. However, the best gift I got today was a brand new little niece. Jon's sister, Cheryl, had a baby girl this morning. She named her Hailey Kay Kingsford. Kay is my middle name (and Lindsay's) and I am truly honored that they thought of me! We're so glad Hailey is here and we can't wait to see her!
Out to Lunch
Joey slept through the whole party!!

Tampa
Our weekend get-a-way last weekend was a trip to Tampa Bay. We visited Busch Gardens and got to see lots of other sights...including Paul Revere & the Raiders. We have been to the Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia and let me tell you, there is no comparison. The B.G. in Tampa is out of this world. I definitely liked it better than any park at Disney World. There was a great balance between grown-up activities and kid activities. Jon and I went on some of the best roller coasters I have ever been on. We really enjoyed Tampa. We live in such a small town, it was so nice to visit a large city with skyscrapers and freeways.

So glad Daddy's back!
Jon arrived home safely on Jan. 31. We have been having lots of fun since he's been home. He doesn't have to go back to work for a couple more weeks and it feels like we have been on a non-stop vacation. We've gone out to lunch, gone to the beach, played tennis, and last weekend we went to Panama City, Florida for a weekend get-a-way. We are all enjoying having Daddy home, especially me! Jon really is an awesome father and he has been such a huge help with the kids. I've actually had some time to myself to just relax. He has loved seeing his new little baby and can't seem to get enough of him! Hooray...we survived our first deployment!
