February

In February, I turned the big 3-0! My friends planned an all day adventure for me. It was seriously one of the best girls days ever! We left around 1pm and didn't get home until after 11pm. My friend, Renee, planned the whole day and emailed the following itinerary to everyone!

Saturday, February 20
Okay Ladies, This Saturday we're going to celebrate Lisa's 30th birthday by having an ALL DAY girl bash! It's going to be so packed to the max with fun that we're dividing it up into an afternoon session and an evening session. Lisa really hopes that everyone can make and meet up with us at some point in the day. As everyone knows, this will be Lisa's first time to eat sugar in over a YEAR!! All she wants for her birthday is to have some girl time and to restaurant hop! NO PRESENTS PLEASE!! Renee and Lisa will have cell phones with them if you at any point in the day want to come hang out and get crazy with us -- Moderation is completely out the window for just this one day! We figure if we're doing this, we're going to go all out and do it right. There will be no shame and no regrets. We will be eating until our faces start to melt off. Meet at Lisa’s at 12:45 to carpool OR 1:00 at Waffle House in Shalimar (if you want to carpool please be on time so we can be at the Waffle House on time -- the birthday girl wants to eat promptly at 1 pm.)

During the week of my birthday, Jon took us to Universal Studios in Orlando to celebrate!

January

On January 21, Jon's grandpa, Albert Phelin "Figs" Hanna, died. Jon and I flew to his funeral in Idaho. Grandpa Figs was such a good and kind man. I truly felt honored to know him for the past 10 years.

Christmas Pics

We didn't get too many Christmas morning pictures considering we completely missed our kids opening their presents. So, these are some of the after shots. You can see the destruction they created while Jon and I slept peacefully in our beds. Tyler and Lindsay loved their roller blades and Anna loved her new baby. I think Joey was just overwhelmed by the chaos!

50's Day

My kids had 50's dress up day at school today. Aren't they cute?

Joey got his cast off today! It has been almost 5 weeks since he got it on. I can't wait to give him a REAL bath!!!

Also, one year ago today, I decided to eliminate all sugar and white flour from my diet. I'm excited that I have actually done it for a year! Last year at this time, I was 80 pounds heavier and I looked and felt terrible. Now I feel amazing and I am so full of energy!

Thanksgiving Pictures

I know it's after Christmas, but considering that I'm not really on the ball, I figured it was about time to post our Thanksgiving pictures. We spent Thanksgiving break in Orlando at Disney World. We met up with Jon's parents, 5 of Jon's siblings, their spouses, and their kids. We rented a 7 bedroom house for all of us. We went to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios. We took a TON of pictures that I'm sure most of you aren't interested in, but I am going to post some of them anyway in case Jon's family wants to copy them off my blog!

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I woke up this morning at 7:30 to find EVERY present unwrapped! Yep, that's right, my kids got up at about 5am and unwrapped every present! Jon and I missed it all! It was so sad...I burst into tears. We explained to them that they were supposed to wait for us or wake us up! Anyway, now that I am over the shock, I can laugh about it! I talked to my dad and he said that we did that one Christmas when we were kids, so that made me feel a little better!

Santa Claus must be coming soon

Here's what I found hanging on the fridge this morning. Lindsay knows that Santa is supposed to come tonight.

I'm sorry for all the bad things I've done to Anna and the words that are unicsetibul (unacceptable) to my Mother. Please give me extra toys for Christmas.

I know I totally need to update the blog, but this month has been crazy busy (I'm sure it has been for everyone)! As soon as I get a minute to breathe, I will be updating, but for right now, I have a million presents to wrap!

Our first broken bone...

So far, none of our kids have broken any bones...until now. Joey, who is 13 months old, fell off a chair onto our tile floor. I guess his left leg took the whole fall because he has a slight fracture of his tibia. Of course this had to happen when Jon is out of town for a couple weeks. We spent 8 hours in the ER on Wednesday and then back to the hospital today to get a new cast. He seems to be feeling a lot better today. He is moving around and crawling as best as he can.
