A Good Week...

There is nothing like jet skiing in the Gulf of Mexico! Jon took leave last week and we were going to go on vacation, but we decided to take advantage of the resort town that we live in. We went to the beach, went shopping, relaxed and rented jet skis. The highlight of the week for the kids was jet skiing with the many dolphins in the Gulf!

A Good Day...

Our really good friends decided to get baptized a couple weeks ago. They are an amazing family and we were so excited that we got to share this special day with them.

Lindsay's Birthday Party

Lindsay's 6th birthday isn't until July, but we did her party last weekend so that we could invite all of her school friends. We went to KidZone...a bouncy house place. She had a blast! I made her a Barbie cake and a sand castle cake. She enjoyed having her friends from school and church at the party and all the awesome presents she got!

Lindsay's Dance Recital

Lindsay's dance recital was a couple weeks ago. She had two different performances. She looked beautiful and did such a good job! She loves dancing!

80's Party!

We had a totally tubular 80's party at our house last night. We listened to lots of classic 80's songs, we danced, we ate, and we played an 80's trivia game. It was hilarious to see everybody's 80's outfits and dance moves!

Anniversaries

Today is my official 1 year anniversary of blogging! It's crazy how fast a year goes! Jon and I also celebrated our 9 year anniversary on May 31st. Can you believe I've put up with Jon for so long??? Just kidding! In fact, I like him more than ever now! He's such a good husband and a good father and there is never a dull moment!

We kind of laid low this year. Our anniversary was on a Sunday and since we have had such a busy month, we just wanted to relax. We made sure that we picked up some Olive Garden take out the night before so we could have a delicious lunch! It turned out to be a very nice day!

Enjoy the pics from our wedding day!

Cupcakes

This past week was Tyler's birthday, so I took cupcakes to school. Since Lindsay has a summer birthday, I took her some as well. Lindsay's teacher has a summer birthday too, so we took her a cake (I'm teaching her the art of kissing up)! We had lots of fun being creative, but I never want to make cakes or cupcakes again! I guess I shouldn't say never...but maybe not for a long time. Tyler requested the ice cream cone cupcakes. His class loved them. One little girl told Tyler that he had the coolest mom ever. Lindsay requested kitty cat cupcakes. Hers were more time-consuming, but her class was thrilled. We used Foodoodlers to write the kids' names on Necco wafers and attached them to the cupcake as the kitty's collar. One little boy saw his name on the cupcake and hugged me! They thought it was cool to eat their nametags!

Finally updated!

I have finally updated the blog with all of our happenings so far this month. We have had such a busy month, that it took 5 posts to capture it all! Have fun catching up on what we've been up to!

Jon's Birthday

Yesterday was Jon's 32nd birthday. In the morning, I secretly delivered balloons to his work. He loved it. In the afternoon, we met for lunch and then he went flying in a jet for 2 hours. After that, we went miniature golfing as a family, he got buffalo wings for dinner, and then back home for cake, ice cream, and presents. I made him a volcano cake and it looked awesome! I think Jon had a fantastic birthday. He's pretty spoiled if you ask me!

Tyler's Birthday Party!

Tyler will be 7 this Tuesday, but we had his birthday party last weekend. He chose to do it at a skating rink with his friends from school and church. He had a blast and got WAY too many presents. He got everything he's into...Bakugans, FunKeys, Star Wars, etc. Now we need to go through his old toys and donate about half of them! Tyler requested a skateboard cake and a robot cake. I am no cake decorater, but I think they turned out okay.
