Outta Town...

We are heading to Washington D.C. tomorrow for our summer vacation. My family will be flying to D.C. for a convention and Jon's family lives in Virginia...so we will get to see both families. Also, Jon went to med school in Maryland, so we have some friends that still live in the area...I can't wait to see them! I will update my blog in a couple weeks with all the details of our vacation!

Fun Family time!

We are having a really fun, but busy summer. I have decided that it is going by too fast. It has been nice to relax and not have to worry about being somewhere everday at a certain time. No homework, no book reports, no school projects. I know I will probably be singing and dancing when it comes time to buy school supplies, but for right now, I am enjoying the summer.

For family home evening a couple nights ago, we went to a place in Destin. They have Go Carts and all sorts of different rides. The kids decided it was one of the best FHE's they've had in a long time. Jon and I had a great time too!

Lindsay is 6!

Lindsay turned 6 on Saturday! We celebrated by going to Build-a-Bear and then seeing Ice Age 3 in 3D. We went out to lunch and she got to jump on one of those cool trampolines that you can jump really high! According to her, she had an amazing day and she felt extra special!

Lindsay's Tooth

Lindsay lost her first tooth a couple weeks ago. She was pretty proud that she was still 5 when she lost it. Tyler didn't loose his first tooth until he was 6.

Fourth of July!

We had a very festive 4th of July. We made our annual trip to Alabama to get the "good" fireworks! We had a huge 4th of July party at our house...about 50 people came! We barbecued and had tons of delicious food. We ate and swam in the pool and then we went outside for our firework show. Jon's co-worker brought a bunch of fireworks too, so it was quite a spectacle! All-in-all it was a great way to celebrate! Thanks to all those who came!

Buying the fireworks in Alabama!

A patriotic cake...it definitely looks very homemade!

Yes, those are Roman Candles in my hand...I am kind of a pyro!

I love the 4th of July! Happy Birthday, America!

A Good Week...

There is nothing like jet skiing in the Gulf of Mexico! Jon took leave last week and we were going to go on vacation, but we decided to take advantage of the resort town that we live in. We went to the beach, went shopping, relaxed and rented jet skis. The highlight of the week for the kids was jet skiing with the many dolphins in the Gulf!

A Good Day...

Our really good friends decided to get baptized a couple weeks ago. They are an amazing family and we were so excited that we got to share this special day with them.

Lindsay's Birthday Party

Lindsay's 6th birthday isn't until July, but we did her party last weekend so that we could invite all of her school friends. We went to KidZone...a bouncy house place. She had a blast! I made her a Barbie cake and a sand castle cake. She enjoyed having her friends from school and church at the party and all the awesome presents she got!

Lindsay's Dance Recital

Lindsay's dance recital was a couple weeks ago. She had two different performances. She looked beautiful and did such a good job! She loves dancing!

80's Party!

We had a totally tubular 80's party at our house last night. We listened to lots of classic 80's songs, we danced, we ate, and we played an 80's trivia game. It was hilarious to see everybody's 80's outfits and dance moves!
